We went to Niagara Falls and I rode on the Maid of the Mist! I lived in Western New York for 40 years, and never did it. My 9 year old grandson, talked me into it!
I never was on the Maid of the Mist either until we took our friends from Texas to see the Falls when they were here when the kids were small. You know what they say about your own backyard! Aunt Susie
Looks as if you had a great time! It seems it's not unusual to neglect one's home marvels; I lived in Québec for years before attending the Changing of the Guard at the Citadel of Québec. How could I have gone so long without seeing the 22nd Regiment's mascot, Baptiste, the goat, standing at attention in all his snowy white glory, with gilded horns and hooves!
